This past weekend, my family and I took a short trip to Montreal, Quebec. I think every city has something to love, but Montreal's European charm is something I found very intriguing. French culture does have a special place in my heart, so I was all for exploring this province. With it's cobblestone roads and welcoming atmosphere, I truly enjoyed visiting Old Montreal. It was the perfect combination of historic architecture combined with new and trendy spots. Downtown had a more modern and business feel, but still had many historical elements. It managed to keep a nuance of simplicity, while possessing many characteristics of city-life. Additionally, I felt that it was easy to navigate and get from one place to another. This brief but memorable stay has left me wanting to see more of Canada, so I hope I get around to doing that in the future.
